Welcome to Helixta (the “App” or “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how Helixta collects, uses, stores, and protects information from its users (“Users”). By using our App or agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described below.

We are committed to protecting your personal data and using it solely to improve our services and user experience.

1. Background Location Permission
   Used to ensure accurate check-in, check-out, attendance tracking, and background location verification.
2. Phone / Camera Permission
   Used to capture user photos for attendance verification, profile pictures, or security purposes to ensure accurate data in the app.
3. Storage and Internet Access
   Used to upload and sync attendance logs, photos, and related data with our servers securely.
4. Notification Permission
   Our app requests Notification Permission (Android 13+ only) so that we can display a mandatory foreground service notification while tracking your location during attendance or check-in operations. We do not send any promotional, marketing, or user-targeted notifications.

Helixta may collect personal identification information from Users in various ways, including but not limited to:

• When creating your Helixta User or Manager profile, you provide personal information such as your name, location, gender, date of birth, profile picture, email address, and mobile number.
• Information you provide during app registration or usage.
• Information collected automatically during app use, such as device details, geolocation, and usage statistics.

We refer to this as your public profile, and it may be visible to authorized users within the Helixta system for operational purposes.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
• To personalize the user experience and optimize performance.
• To process attendance, employee management, or location-based records.
• To communicate with users about updates, policies, or security alerts.
• To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

We retain user information only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

Users may request account deletion or data removal at any time by contacting us at helixtasupport@servercenter.ca. Upon verification, we will permanently delete your account and all associated data unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Users have the following rights regarding their personal information:

• Access: Request access to your personal information we hold.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and related data.

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will immediately delete such information from our records.

• Users may hold only one active account.
• Impersonation or providing false information is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found in violation of these terms.

Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the Helixta App, you consent to such transfers in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

We follow industry-standard security practices, including encryption and secure server communication, to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Helixta complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and follows international privacy and data protection principles to safeguard user information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational or legal changes. Any modifications will be posted in the app and updated with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
